What is a tandem paragliding flight?
A tandem paragliding flight allows you to experience the thrill of flying without any previous experience. You will be securely harnessed together with a professional, licensed instructor who controls the entire flight. Your only task is to relax, enjoy the breathtaking views, and maybe take some photos.
Is tandem paragliding safe?
Yes, tandem paragliding is very safe when done with certified instructors and proper equipment. At Helix Air Sport Club, all flights are conducted by experienced pilots such as our lead instructor, Igor Todevski, using regularly inspected gear. Weather conditions are carefully checked before every flight to ensure maximum safety.
Do I need any prior experience or training?
No previous experience or training is needed. The instructor will explain everything before takeoff and handle the entire flight, so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
What do I need to bring or wear for the flight?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes (sports or hiking shoes are ideal). Sunglasses and sunscreen are also a good idea. All flying equipment (harness, helmet, glider) is provided by Helix Air Sport Club.
Are there any weight or age limits?
Most tandem flights are suitable for passengers aged 6 to 80, depending on health and mobility. The general weight limit is usually between 30 kg (66 lbs) and 120 kg (264 lbs). If you are unsure, feel free to contact us in advance.
How long does a tandem flight last and what is included?
The actual flight time depends on weather conditions and the chosen package, usually lasting between 15 and 30 minutes. The total experience (including briefing, transport, takeoff, and landing) takes about 1 to 2 hours. Photos and videos are often available as an optional extra.
